Octoparse pricing starts with a free plan that runs tasks on your own computer only, and cloud scraping starts at $83 a month for the Standard plan billed monthly, or $69 a month billed yearly ($829 a year). Professional costs $299 a month, or $249 a month billed yearly, and Enterprise is quoted on request.
On top of the subscription, Octoparse meters residential proxies, CAPTCHA solving and premium templates from a separate add-on balance. This guide lists every plan and billing cycle, explains the add-ons, works through three real monthly bills, and shows where Scrape.ly costs less.
Prices checked on 23 October 2026 on octoparse.com/pricing, the Octoparse docs and its help center.

A few details the plan cards don't make obvious:
- The headline price is the yearly one. Octoparse quotes Standard "from $69/month" with "up to 3 concurrent cloud processes", and Professional at $249 a month, both billed annually. Pay monthly and the same plans cost $83 and $299.
- Yearly billing saves about 16%. Twelve months of Standard at $83 is $996, against $829 billed yearly, a $167 difference. On Professional it's $3,588 against $2,999.
- Free means local. The free plan has no cloud extraction, no scheduling and no IP rotation, so your computer has to stay on while a task runs.
- Free can't export template data. Free users can run templates marked "All", but according to Octoparse's template docs they "cannot export the collected data". Paid templates need Standard or higher.
- Trials renew automatically. The billing docs say a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it expires. Paid plans come with a 5-day money-back guarantee.
How Octoparse bills
An Octoparse bill has two parts.
1. The subscription. It buys features and capacity: how many tasks you can save, whether they can run in the cloud, how many cloud processes run at once, scheduling, exports and API access. It doesn't depend on how many pages you scrape.
2. Add-on credit. A prepaid US dollar balance for metered services. It's only usable on paid plans and it's non-refundable. Octoparse's own Apify comparison page says the $83 Standard plan includes $2 of add-on credit a month. Everything above that you top up:
| Add-on | Price | Fine print |
|---|---|---|
| Residential proxies | $3 per GB | You need at least $3 of credit to switch them on. Octoparse's help center says 1 GB usually covers about 500 pages. Cloud runs can only use Octoparse's own proxies. |
| CAPTCHA solving | $1 per 1,000 | Failed attempts are billed too. |
| Cloudflare bypass | $1.50 per 1,000 attempts | Failed attempts are billed too. |
| Premium (pay-per-result) templates | $0.001 to $3 per 1,000 results | Billed per unique row; requires Standard or higher. |
| Crawler setup service | From $399 | Octoparse builds the task for you. |
| Data service | From $599 | Octoparse delivers the data for you. |
Most templates carry no extra fee once your plan meets their access level. The paid ones are templates that bundle proxies or CAPTCHA solving, such as the Google Maps Scraper template at $2 per 1,000 lines.
Is Octoparse free?
Yes, with limits. The free plan costs nothing, needs no credit card and never expires. You get 10 tasks, 1 device, 2 tasks running at once on your own computer, and up to 50,000 exported rows a month in batches of 10,000.
What you don't get is the cloud. Free tasks run on your machine with your IP address, there's no scheduler, and data from templates can be viewed but not exported. For anything that should run while your laptop is closed, you need Standard.
Which Octoparse plan do you need?
Octoparse plans are sized by how many tasks you keep and how many run in the cloud at once, not by volume. So the question is about your workflow:
- Learning, or one-off pulls you can run on your laptop: Free, as long as 50,000 rows a month is enough and you build the task yourself.
- Scheduled cloud runs for a handful of sites: Standard, $83 a month or $69 a month billed yearly, with up to 3 cloud processes; if tasks queue behind each other, you're looking at Professional.
- Many tasks in parallel, monitoring alerts, or exports straight to S3 or Dropbox: Professional at $299 a month or $2,999 a year, with up to 20 cloud processes and 250 tasks.
- More than 250 tasks, 40+ processes or several team seats: Enterprise, priced by sales.
Then add the metered part: proxies, CAPTCHA solving and paid templates come out of add-on credit on every paid plan, so a heavy month can cost far more than the plan price.
Worked examples: what Octoparse costs
All three use Octoparse's published prices and the $83 Standard plan unless noted.
Example 1: one analyst, custom tasks in the cloud
You build your own tasks in the desktop app and run a few of them in the cloud every night. No proxies, no paid templates.
| Billing cycle | Arithmetic | Cost per year |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | 12 × $83 | $996 |
| Quarterly | 4 × $239 | $956 |
| Yearly | $829 | $829 |
The cheapest option means paying $829 up front for twelve months.
Example 2: 5,000 Google Maps places a month from a template
The Google Maps Scraper template costs $2 per 1,000 unique lines and needs Standard.
| Line | Arithmetic | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Template fee | 5 × $2 | $10 |
| Included add-on credit | −$2 | |
| Standard, billed monthly | $83 | |
| Total | $91 |
On yearly billing the same month costs about $69.08 + $8 = $77.08. At 20,000 places the template fee rises to $40, so the monthly-billed total is $83 + $40 − $2 = $121.
Example 3: 10,000 pages from a protected site
A custom cloud task that needs residential proxies and hits CAPTCHAs on 2,000 pages. Using Octoparse's own rule of thumb of about 500 pages per GB:
| Line | Arithmetic | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Residential proxies | 10,000 ÷ 500 = 20 GB × $3 | $60 |
| CAPTCHA solving | 2 × $1 per 1,000 | $2 |
| Included add-on credit | −$2 | |
| Standard, billed monthly | $83 | |
| Total | $143 |
Heavier pages use more GB, and failed CAPTCHA attempts still count, so treat this as a floor.
Extra costs to plan for
- More cloud capacity means Professional. Standard runs up to 3 cloud processes at once; the next step, up to 20, is Professional at $299 a month.
- Proxy minimums. Proxies need at least $3 in add-on credit before they switch on, and proxy credit can't be refunded.
- Failed attempts. CAPTCHA and Cloudflare attempts are billed whether they succeed or not.
- Paid templates on top of the plan. A template's per-row fee never replaces the subscription; you pay both.
- Cloud storage exports need Professional. Sending data straight to Google Drive, Dropbox or S3 starts at $299 a month. Standard exports to files, databases, Google Sheets through a service account, and Zapier.
- Services. Having Octoparse build a crawler starts at $399, and a managed data project at $599.
Octoparse vs Scrape.ly pricing
Scrape.ly takes a different approach. You don't build a task first: you pick one of 568 ready-made scrapers in the Store, each with a per-result price on its page, fill in a form or load one of 1,852 presets, and it runs in the cloud. Plans raise limits, and the plan price comes back to you as usage credit.
| Octoparse | Scrape.ly | |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest way to run in the cloud | Standard, $83 a month ($69 billed yearly) | Free: $5 of usage every month, no card |
| Cheapest paid plan | $83 a month, $2 of it as add-on credit | Starter, $19 a month, all of it usable credit |
| Concurrent cloud runs | Up to 3 on Standard, 20 on Professional | 2 on Free, 32 on Starter, 128 on Scale |
| Schedules on the free plan | No scheduling | 5 cron schedules |
| Export ready-made scraper results on the free plan | No | Yes: CSV, Excel, JSON and more |
| Commitment for the best price | Pay a year up front | Monthly plans |
| Ready-made scrapers | Template gallery; paid templates need Standard | 568 Store Actors on every plan, including Free |
Here's Example 2 on Scrape.ly. Our run of the Google Maps Scraper on 22 October 2026 returned 10 restaurants in 5.7 seconds. At Starter-plan rates it comes to $0.0374: $0.036 of place fees ($3.60 per 1,000), $0.0005 of compute, $0.0009 of residential proxy and a fraction of a cent for storage (full run and log). That's $3.74 per 1,000 places, everything included.
| Google Maps places a month | Octoparse (Standard, monthly billing) | Scrape.ly |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $83 (Free can't export template data) | $0: about $3.75 of the free $5 credit |
| 5,000 | $91 | $19: Starter, the run uses about $18.68 of the included credit |
At these volumes, that's a fraction of the price. The difference comes from the subscription: Octoparse charges a fixed fee for access to the cloud, while Scrape.ly charges for the results you take and returns the plan fee as credit you spend on any Actor, proxy traffic or browser time.
Three more things matter when you budget on Scrape.ly:
- One balance for everything. The same credit pays for Google Maps places, LinkedIn jobs at $1.50 per 1,000 or Amazon products at $0.70 per 1,000. No separate add-on wallet.
- A hard cap per run. Set
maxTotalChargeUsdand the run stops at that amount, with fees, compute and proxy traffic all counted. - No install. Store Actors run from the browser console, the API, the Python and JavaScript clients, or an AI agent over MCP.
