Does Amazon allow web scraping?

Not in its terms: Amazon’s Conditions of Use exclude data mining, robots and similar extraction tools from their license. Collecting publicly visible product and price data is still widely done and generally lawful in many jurisdictions, and reviewer names are personal data. These scrapers read only signed-out pages and leave reviewer names out by default; check the rules that apply to how you use the data.

How can I scrape Amazon products?

Is it legal to scrape Amazon?

These scrapers collect what Amazon shows any signed-out visitor: product titles, prices, stock, ratings, best-seller ranks, public reviews and seller profiles. Product and price data is not personal data; reviewer names are, so the Reviews Scraper leaves them out unless you switch includeGdprSensitive on, and our samples withhold them. A seller profile can name a sole trader, so treat its phone and address as personal data where that applies. Amazon’s Conditions of Use exclude data mining and robots from their license; check how they bind you, and use the data in line with GDPR, CCPA and local rules.
