👽 Reddit Scraper Lite

Scrape public Reddit posts, comments, communities, and user profiles from a URL or a search. Paste a post, community, user, or search link, or type keywords, and get clean JSON rows in seconds. No Reddit account, no login, no cookies, and you pay only for the rows you get.

✨ Why use Reddit Scraper Lite?

  • ⚡ Fast — a post with its comments usually comes back in a few seconds, and a 1,000-post community listing in well under a minute.
  • 🔓 No login needed — the run reads public Reddit data only. You never share an account or cookies.
  • 🧩 Every Reddit object — posts, comments, communities, and users from one actor, each row tagged with dataType.
  • 🔎 Search built in — search all of Reddit or one community for posts, comments, communities, users, or media posts.
  • 💸 Cheap — a flat price per saved row, cheap datacenter proxies by default, and an automatic residential fallback only when Reddit refuses them.
  • 🔁 Easy to switch — the input fields and output fields follow the familiar Reddit Scraper Lite layout, so existing inputs keep working.

🎯 Use cases

  • 📈 Brand and product monitoring — track every new post that mentions your product or a competitor.
  • 🧪 Market and user research — collect the comments under popular threads to learn what people ask, like, and complain about.
  • 🗂️ Community analysis — pull the newest or top posts of a subreddit with scores, comment counts, and flair.
  • 🤖 Datasets for NLP and AI — build labelled text sets from posts and comment threads.
  • 📰 Trend spotting — watch fast-rising posts in the communities that matter to you.
  • 👤 Profile overviews — save a public profile with its recent posts and comments.

  3. Pick a sort order, a time range, or a date filter if you need one.

💰 Pricing

You pay $2.50 per 1,000 saved rows ($0.0025 per post, comment, community, or user). Platform usage (compute and proxy traffic) is billed separately and is very small: the actor runs at 256 MB and moves a few kilobytes per row over datacenter proxies.

Example: 1,000 posts cost about $2.50 in row fees plus roughly one cent of usage.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape Reddit? The actor only reads public data that anyone can see without logging in. Check Reddit's terms and your local laws, and handle personal data responsibly.

Do I need a Reddit account, login, or my own proxy? No. The run reads public data without an account, and it uses the platform's datacenter proxies by default, switching to residential proxies by itself if Reddit refuses them.

How many results can I get? As many as you set in maxItems, with no fixed ceiling. Reddit's own listings and searches stop at about 1,000 posts each, so split large jobs by community, sort, or time range.

Why is a field empty? Not every Reddit object has every field. Link posts have no body text, deleted comments have no author, and scores, comment counts, and media only appear with includeMediaLinks.

Can I schedule runs or use the API? Yes. Schedule the actor in the console, or start runs and read datasets through the REST API and SDKs.

What happens if a page fails? Requests are retried with a fresh proxy address. Rows already saved are kept, and the status message says how many rows were saved.

⚠️ Limits

  • Public content only: private, quarantined, and banned communities and suspended profiles return nothing.
  • Reddit caps each listing and search at about 1,000 posts.
  • Comments come from the first page of a thread (top-level and loaded replies); "load more" branches deep inside very large threads are not expanded.
  • Reddit search relevance and counts come from Reddit itself and can change between runs.
