What each setting does
The input this example runs Congress Stock Trades Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.
- Names (members of Congress or officials)
members Trump
Names of senators, representatives or executive branch officials, e.g. Pelosi, Tuberville or Trump. Partial names match (every word must match the start of a name). For the executive branch a position also matches, e.g. President. Leave empty for everyone.
- Max transactions
maxResults 30
Maximum number of rows to save in total (across all members, tickers and chambers): transactions plus any free scanned-report rows. The run stops exactly at this number. 0 = no limit. Newest disclosures come first.
Default: 20 → this example uses 30
- Chamber or branch
chamber Executive branch: President, Cabinet and senior officials (OGE 278-T)
Which Periodic Transaction Reports to search. Executive branch: the OGE Form 278-T reports the U.S. Office of Government Ethics publishes for the President, Cabinet members and other senior officials (e.g. Trump, Bessent, Lutnick). Other officials' reports are only released on request and are not included.
Default: House and Senate → this example uses Executive branch: President, Cabinet and senior officials (OGE 278-T)
- List scanned paper reports
includeScannedReports Yes
Some members file handwritten or scanned reports whose trades exist only as an image. When on, each such report is listed once (isScanned = true, report link, member, date) free of charge, so you can open it yourself. Skipped when you filter by ticker or type.
- Add party and state
includeMemberDetails Yes
Add party, state, district and Bioguide ID for current members of Congress.

}What it costs
From about $0.042 for 30 trades
An estimate at the lowest plan price: 30 × $0.0014 per transaction (One disclosed stock transaction saved to the dataset). A run is charged for the events it reports, so one that finds fewer trades costs less. Platform usage is included in the event price.
When to use this example
From the Congress Stock Trades Scraper readme:
Known limit
Scanned paper filings of members of Congress are listed but not transcribed. The President's scanned 278-T forms are transcribed with OCR, which takes about 10 to 20 seconds per page at the default memory (a 34-page report with 950 trades took about 5 minutes on staging; his largest report has 113 pages). A small maxResults stops reading early. More memory gives the run more CPU (one core per 4 GB) and reads faster.
