❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape comparis.ch? The actor reads public listing pages that anyone can open without an account. Respect the site's terms and data-protection law (the Swiss FADP and the GDPR) when you store or use personal data such as seller names and phone numbers.

Do I need an account, cookies or my own proxy? No. Swiss proxies are included and the site's visitor check is handled for you.

How many cars can I get? As many as the search has. The site shows at most 1,000 cars per search; larger searches are split into price bands automatically.

Why is the price history empty for some cars? The site keeps a history only for cars whose price changed. priceTrend tells you in the search data already; turn on details for every change with its date.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule the actor in the console or start it through the Scrape.ly API and read the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

⚠️ Limits

• The site shows at most 1,000 cars per search; a single price with more than 1,000 cars cannot be split further.
• Market price and rating are filled where the site shows them (most used cars; new cars and rare models often have none).
• The site does not mark private sellers and dealers separately; sellerName and sellerPhone are given as the listing shows them.
• Values such as fuel, gearbox and condition are in the language you choose (German, French or Italian).
