Firecrawl pricing starts with a free plan of 1,000 credits a month, and the paid plans cost $19 (Hobby), $99 (Standard), $399 (Growth) and $749 (Scale) a month, or $16 to $599 a month billed yearly. A plain page costs 1 credit, so on monthly plans you pay between $0.75 and $3.80 per 1,000 pages if you use every credit, and options like JSON extraction multiply that.
This guide lists every plan, what each endpoint and option costs, three worked examples, and how the same crawl prices out on Scrape.ly.
Prices checked on 22 October 2026 on firecrawl.dev/pricing and Firecrawl's billing docs.

Per 1,000 plain pages, with every credit used, the monthly plans work out to $3.80 (Hobby), $0.99 (Standard), $0.80 (Growth) and $0.75 (Scale). Unused plan credits reset each month; only Scale (one month) and Enterprise roll them over.
How Firecrawl credits work
Every API call consumes credits. The base cost depends on the endpoint:
| Endpoint | Credits |
|---|---|
| Scrape | 1 per page |
| Crawl | 1 per page |
| Map | 1 per call |
| Search | 2 per 10 results, rounded up (11 results cost 4) |
| Interact (browser session) | 2 per browser minute, 7 with a prompt, one-minute minimum |
| Monitor | 1 per page, per check |
| Agent (preview) | 5 free runs a day, then dynamic pricing |
Options add credits on top, per page, and they stack:
| Option | Extra credits per page |
|---|---|
| JSON format (LLM extraction) | +4 |
question, highlights, audio or video format | +4 |
| PII redaction | +4 |
| Prompt injection check | +4 |
| PDF parsing | +1 per PDF page |
| Zero data retention | +1 |
| Enhanced proxy | +0 |
So a page scraped with JSON format costs 5 credits, and JSON plus PII redaction costs 9. Search with scraping costs the search credits plus the scrape cost of every result it fetches.
Firecrawl charges when it returns a document, not when the target site succeeds. A page that answers 403 or 404 still comes back as a document and costs 1 credit. A scrape that fails outright, with no document, costs nothing. Crawl and batch jobs are billed as each page completes, and a crawl without a limit defaults to 10,000 pages.
Monthly vs yearly billing
Every paid plan can be billed monthly or yearly. The yearly discount is 16.7% on Hobby, Standard and Growth and 20% on Scale. Credits still arrive monthly on a yearly plan: you're billed once a year, but the allotment resets each month on a virtual renewal date. Yearly Scale is the one plan that rolls unused credits over, for one month.
Pay-as-you-go, overage and spending limits
Paid plans can keep running when credits run out. With pay-as-you-go on, Firecrawl charges your card $5 and adds that plan's increment (1,000 to 5,000 credits) each time the balance hits zero. You set a monthly pay-as-you-go limit in whole $5 steps; leave it blank and there's no limit, set it to 0 and pay-as-you-go is off. While it's on, each plan also gets an overage allowance so bursts keep running while a top-up settles: 1,500 credits on Hobby, 30,000 on Standard, 150,000 on Growth and 600,000 on Scale.
You can also cap a single API key at a number of credits per day, week or month, and buy credits manually in $5 multiples. Manually bought credits don't count toward the monthly limit and stay on the account until used, but expire if you cancel.
Which Firecrawl plan fits your volume
Using plain 1-credit pages and the monthly prices:
| Pages a month | Cheapest Firecrawl option | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 1,000 | Free | $0 |
| 5,000 | Hobby | $19 |
| 10,000 | Hobby + 5 top-ups | $44 |
| 25,000 | Standard (Hobby + 20 top-ups would be $119) | $99 |
| 100,000 | Standard | $99 |
| 500,000 | Growth | $399 |
The jump between 5,000 and 100,000 pages is where most teams land: Hobby top-ups cost $5 per 1,000 pages, so past 21,000 pages ($19 + 16 × $5 = $99) Standard is cheaper even if most of its credits go unused.
Is Firecrawl free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 1,000 credits every month with no credit card. That's 1,000 plain pages or 500 searches. Every core endpoint works, with 2 concurrent browsers and rate limits of 10 requests a minute on scrape, map and search and 2 a minute on crawl, agent and interact.
The free plan has no pay-as-you-go, so requests return HTTP 402 once the credits are gone, until the monthly reset. Scrape, search and interact also work without an API key on a keyless tier capped per IP address per day.
Worked examples: what Firecrawl costs
Example 1: crawl 10,000 docs pages to Markdown each month
10,000 pages × 1 credit = 10,000 credits.
| Option | Arithmetic | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Hobby plus top-ups | $19 for 5,000 credits + 5 × $5 for 5 × 1,000 credits | $44 |
| Standard, monthly | $99 for 100,000 credits (90,000 unused) | $99 |
| Standard, yearly | $83 a month for 100,000 credits | $83 |
Example 2: 2,000 product pages with JSON extraction
JSON format costs 1 + 4 = 5 credits per page, so 2,000 × 5 = 10,000 credits. That's the same bill as crawling 10,000 plain pages in example 1: $44 on Hobby with top-ups, or a Standard plan. The JSON option, not the page count, sets the price.
Example 3: a research agent, 500 searches a month
Each search returns 10 results and the agent scrapes the top 3. Search: 500 × 2 = 1,000 credits. Scrapes: 500 × 3 = 1,500 credits. Total 2,500 credits, which is more than the free plan's 1,000, so you need Hobby at $19 a month (5,000 credits, half of them unused).
Extra costs to plan for
- Option multipliers. JSON and other LLM formats, PII redaction and prompt-injection checks add 4 credits per page each.
- Error pages. 403 and 404 responses cost 1 credit each. Check
metadata.statusCodeand stop retrying blocked URLs. - Browser minutes. Interact bills 2 to 7 credits per browser minute with a one-minute minimum, whether or not the session gets what you wanted.
- Special sites. LinkedIn profile and company pages go through third-party data providers at 5 to 40 credits each. X (Twitter) posts and profiles cost 30 credits through Grok, 34 with JSON.
- Upgrades. An upgrade charges the full new plan price that day, with no proration, and resets your billing cycle.
- Default crawl size. A crawl without
limitcan run to 10,000 pages, billed as they complete. Always pass a limit.
Firecrawl vs Scrape.ly pricing
Scrape.ly crawls sites to Markdown with the Website Content Crawler, an Actor priced at $0.50 per 1,000 crawled pages plus the usage the run consumes. We ran it on 22 October 2026 with the Store preset Python tutorial as markdown, raised to 10 pages. It saved 10 pages of clean Markdown in 7.2 seconds and was charged $0.0058:
| Line | Charged |
|---|---|
| 10 crawled pages × $0.0005 | $0.00500 |
| Compute (0.002 compute units) | $0.00048 |
| Residential proxy (0.14 MB) | $0.00029 |
| Dataset writes | $0.00005 |
| Total | $0.00581 |
That's $0.58 per 1,000 pages all-in. Our account runs at Business-plan rates; at Free-plan rates the same run is $0.0062, or $0.62 per 1,000. Here is how that compares, using the same arithmetic as above:
| Firecrawl | Scrape.ly | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per 1,000 plain pages | $0.75 to $3.80 on monthly plans, if every credit is used | $0.58 to $0.62 all-in on our run |
| Free tier | 1,000 credits a month | $5 of usage a month, no card: about 8,000 pages at our run's rate |
| 10,000 pages a month | $44 (Hobby plus top-ups) or $99 (Standard) | $19 (Starter, which includes $19 of usage; the crawl uses about $6.15) |
| 100,000 pages a month | $99 (Standard) | About $61.50 (Starter plus additional credit) |
| Site-specific scrapers | Fixed endpoints | 568 Actors in the Store |
The 10,000-page row: at Starter rates ($0.30 per compute unit, $3.50 per GB of residential traffic) our run's usage scales to about $0.62 per 1,000 pages, so 10,000 pages is about $6.15 of the plan's $19. The rest of that credit runs any other Actor, proxy traffic or browser time you need that month.
The 100,000-page row: 100 × $0.615 = $61.50, the $19 of Starter credit plus $42.50 of additional credit, against $99 for Firecrawl Standard.
Two more things matter when you budget:
- A dollar cap per run. Set
maxTotalChargeUsdon any run and it stops when it reaches the cap, with compute, proxy and page fees all counted. A misconfigured crawl can't cost more than you decided. - More than crawling on the same balance. The RAG Web Browser searches Google and returns the top pages as Markdown for $1.50 per 1,000 results pages, and 566 other Actors cover sites like Google Maps, Amazon and LinkedIn Jobs. AI agents reach all of them over Scrape.ly's hosted MCP server; Best MCP servers for web scraping shows the setup.
Our pages were server-rendered docs. Pages that need Chrome use more compute per page, and the run's usage panel shows exactly what each line cost, so you can price your own sites with one small test run. FAQ
How much does Firecrawl cost per month?
$0 for Free (1,000 credits), $19 for Hobby (5,000), $99 for Standard (100,000), $399 for Growth (500,000) and $749 for Scale (1,000,000). Billed yearly, the paid plans cost $16, $83, $333 and $599 a month.
How many credits does a Firecrawl crawl use?
One credit per crawled page, plus any per-page options: JSON format adds 4, PDF parsing 1 per PDF page. A 500-page crawl with JSON extraction uses 2,500 credits.
Do Firecrawl credits roll over?
Plan credits reset every month on Free, Hobby, Standard and Growth. Scale rolls unused credits over for one month and Enterprise by agreement. Credits you buy as top-ups stay until you use them, but expire if you cancel.
Does Firecrawl charge for failed requests?
A request that returns no document costs nothing. A page that returns an error status such as 403 or 404 is still returned and costs 1 credit.
What does the Firecrawl agent cost?
The agent endpoint is in preview. It includes 5 free runs a day, then bills credits dynamically based on the agent's token use, so the cost per run isn't fixed in advance.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Firecrawl?
For crawling sites to Markdown, Scrape.ly's Website Content Crawler cost $0.58 per 1,000 pages all-in on our test run, against $0.75 to $3.80 per 1,000 on Firecrawl's monthly plans. Its free plan's $5 monthly credit covers about 8,000 pages.
