Find Actors in the Store

Search the Store, compare pricing models, and read reviews before you run.

The Scrape.ly Store lists every public Actor: scrapers, crawlers, automations, AI tools, and MCP servers built by Scrape.ly and by community developers. This page covers how to search and filter the Store, what an Actor page tells you, how Store pricing works from the buyer's side, and how to leave reviews or report problems.

Where to browse

  • Dashboard: click Store in the side menu of the dashboard. The page is titled Scrape.ly Store. From an Actor page here you can run the Actor straight away.
  • Public website: the public Store shows the same catalog without signing in. Actor pages live at https://scrape.ly/store/<username>/<name>.
  • API: GET /v2/store/actors (works with or without a token) and the unauthenticated GET /v2/public/store/* routes. See Search from the API.

Only public Actors appear. Deprecated Actors are excluded from public Store listings.

Search, filter, and sort

In the dashboard Store:

  • Search: type in Search actors... and press Search. The search matches the Actor's name, title, and description.
  • Categories: click a chip to filter by category, and click it again to clear the filter. The categories are AI, Agents, Automation, Developer tools, E-commerce, Jobs, Lead generation, News, SEO tools, Social media, Travel, Videos, Real estate, Integrations, Open source, MCP servers, and Other.
  • Pricing: pick Free or Pay per event to list only Actors with that pricing model (the count shows how many match). It works together with search, categories, and sort, and stays in the page URL.
  • Industry, Output type and Target site: three more filters next to Pricing. Industry is what the Actor is for (E-commerce, Real estate, Jobs & HR, Travel, and so on), Output type is what it returns (Products, Reviews, Listings, Profiles, Search results, and so on), and Target site is the website it scrapes, such as amazon.com. Each shows how many Actors match, given your search and the other filters, and stays in the page URL (industry, outputType, site). On a phone they open in a Filters sheet together with Pricing. The Actor page shows its target sites as small chips, and Actor authors set all three in the Actor's Publication settings; new Actors get them filled in automatically when they are published.
  • Sort by: Most popular (the default), Highest rated, Most users, Recently updated, Newest, or Name A–Z.
  • Load more fetches the next page of results.

Each card shows the Actor's title, author, short description, usage, rating, and a price label: Free, or for pay per event $x/event ($x/result when the priced event is the result item). Run on a card opens the Actor's Input tab with your default saved input (or the first example) in the form; nothing runs until you press Start.

What an Actor page shows

Open an Actor to see:

  • Header: title, author ("Crafted by"), a pricing badge (click it for the full price list), total and monthly users, and rating. Badges flag Actors that are Under Maintenance or Deprecated, and show whether the Actor needs Full Access or Limited Access to your account (see Permissions).
  • Actions: Bookmark, Start, and a … menu with Save as new… (saves the current input as one of your saved inputs) and Schedule (opens a new automation for this Actor).
  • Tabs:
    • Information: the README, the input schema, the source files if the author shares them, and Actor metrics (users, runs, bookmarks).
    • Input: the input form and run options. This is where you configure a run; see Run Actors. The Input dropdown above the form picks and manages your saved inputs for this Actor, and API & MCP under the form has code snippets, the MCP setup and the OpenAPI definition.
    • Runs: your own runs of this Actor.
    • Monitoring: charts of your runs of this Actor (statuses, results, duration, storage) and alerts you can set on them.
    • Automations: your automations that run this Actor or react to its runs, including Slack, Discord, email, Google Sheets, and webhook messages about its runs.
    • Reviews and Issues: shown for public Actors.

The public page (GET /v2/public/store/actors/{username}/{name}) also includes the README, input and output schemas, an example input, recent reviews with a rating distribution, open and closed issue counts, published example tasks, and up to six related Actors from the same categories.

Builds are only visible to the Actor's owner. Your runs always use the build the publisher picked (the User Build), so there is no build to choose.

Pricing models

Every run is billed to you for platform usage (compute, storage operations, data transfer). On top of that, the Actor's author picks one of two pricing models:

ModelLabel in the StoreWhat you pay the author
FreeFreeNothing. You pay platform usage only.
Pay per event~$x/<event>, $x/result, "From $x", or "Pay per event"A price for each event the Actor charges, such as a page scraped or a result produced. An Actor priced per result is pay per event with the built-in result event (scrapely-default-dataset-item) as the priced event, shown as $x/result. Prices per event are listed in the pricing modal.

Some pay-per-event prices are marked as eligible for a store discount. If your account has a store discount, it applies to those events.

To cap what a single run can cost, set Maximum cost per run (or maxTotalChargeUsd in the API). See What a run costs for how platform usage and Actor fees combine.

Trying an Actor

There is no separate trial mode. To try an Actor cheaply:

  1. Open the Input tab. The form starts with your default saved input, else the Actor's first example, else the defaults from its input schema. Pick Defaults in the Input dropdown to bring the schema defaults back.
  2. Lower any result-limit field the Actor offers, and set Maximum cost per run to a small amount.
  3. Click Start and check the results.

Examples are another quick start: ready-made inputs for common use cases, from the author's published example tasks and the presets the author marked in the Actor's test scenarios. They are listed under Examples in the Input dropdown and on the public Actor page, where each preset also has its own page at https://scrape.ly/store/<username>/<actor-name>/presets/<slug>. An example marked May be unreliable failed its recent automatic tests, so it may return fewer results or none.

Permissions

Actors run with Limited Access by default: they can only use their own run storages. An Actor marked Full Access can act on your account through the API (for example, reading your other storages or starting other Actors).

The first time you run a Full Access Actor, the dashboard asks you to approve it (Approve & Run). The approval is remembered for that Actor. From the API, an unapproved Full Access Actor returns 403 full-permission-actor-not-approved; approve it in the dashboard, or with POST /v2/actors/{actorId}/approve-permissions, then start the run again. A run request can't approve an Actor by itself. See Security.

Bookmarks

Click Bookmark on an Actor page to bookmark it, and click Bookmarked to remove it. The number next to the button is the Actor's total bookmark count, which also appears in its public stats. Your bookmarked Actors are listed in the Bookmarked card on the dashboard home, right after Recently viewed. The card shows a page at a time; use the dots (or swipe on a phone) to move between pages, and the search box to find a bookmark by its title, name or username.

You can have up to 500 bookmarks. At 500, clicking Bookmark shows a warning; remove a bookmark to add another.

POST/v2/actors/{actorId}/bookmark
DELETE/v2/actors/{actorId}/bookmark
GET/v2/actors/{actorId}/bookmark
GET/v2/users/me/bookmarks

Reviews and ratings

Open the Reviews tab, choose a Rating from 1 to 5 stars, optionally write a review, and click Submit review.

  • You can review only public Actors you don't own, and only after you have run the Actor at least once.
  • You have one review per Actor. Submitting again updates it, at most once every 24 hours.
  • Reviews can be up to 5,000 characters, and text with inappropriate language is rejected.

See Reviews API.

Reporting issues

Use the Issues tab to report a bug or request a feature from the author. Fill in a Title (up to 255 characters), a Type (Bug, Unexpected, Feedback, or Feature), a Description (up to 10,000 characters), and optionally the Actor run URL of a run that shows the problem.

  • As with reviews, you must have run the Actor at least once, and you can't open issues on your own Actors.
  • You can open one issue per Actor every 24 hours. You can comment on existing issues.

The author is notified, and you are subscribed to replies. See Issues API.

Search from the API

GET /v2/store/actors searches the Store. A token is optional; with one, you can also hide Actors you already use.

ParameterValues

pricingModelFREE, PAY_PER_EVENT, or free (which also matches Actors with no pricing set)
industry, outputType, siteUse-case filters. Repeat the parameter or separate values with commas to match any of them; the three filters combine. industry and outputType take values from the lists in Actors; site is a domain such as amazon.com. The public routes need no token and are cached for 5 minutes:

GET/v2/public/store/overview
GET/v2/public/store/actors
GET/v2/public/store/actors/{username}/{name}
GET/v2/public/store/examples

GET /v2/public/store/examples lists every published example task, newest first (at most 10,000), for sitemaps.

GET /v2/public/store/actors accepts:

ParameterValues
qSearch text; title matches rank first
categoryCategory name (case-insensitive)
pricingfree, paid, or an exact model name such as PAY_PER_EVENT
industry, outputType, siteUse-case filters, as above. The response also carries facets with the counts per value.
sortrelevance, popular, newest, rating, updated, name. Defaults to relevance when q is set, otherwise popular. Any other value returns 400.
offset, limitPaging; limit defaults to 24, range 1–100
GET/v2/public/store/actors?q=google&pricing=free&limit=5

Each result includes the Actor's id, username, name, title, description, categories, usage stats, rating, a pricing summary (model, usdPer1000, unitName), and its consoleUrl. To run an Actor from the API, use its ID or username~name. See Run Actors and the Store API reference.
