Try for free

🚀 Crunchbase Scraper

Search public Crunchbase company listings by name or keyword, or open public organization pages, and get clean rows: company name, Crunchbase link, id, short description, logo, and rank when Crunchbase publishes it. No Crunchbase account and no session cookie needed. $0.0003 per company in result fees.

✨ Why use Crunchbase Scraper?

  • 🔓 No login or cookie — reads only what Crunchbase shows to signed-out visitors, so there is no paid account or cookie to supply.
  • 🔎 Search by keyword or name — run several searches in one go, such as fintech or a company name.
  • 🔗 Organization URLs — paste public organization pages, or a search URL with a q= parameter.
  • 🆔 Stable identifiers — each row carries the Crunchbase permalink and UUID, handy for joining with other data.
  • 🏅 Rank when public — organization pages return the Crunchbase rank when it is public.
  • 💸 Tiny result fee — $0.30 per 1,000 companies, plus the platform usage that the browser check needs (see Pricing).

🎯 Use cases

  • 🧭 Market mapping — list companies that match a keyword, such as payments or fintech.
  • 🤝 Lead lists — collect company names, descriptions, and Crunchbase links to enrich elsewhere.
  • 🆔 ID matching — resolve company names to Crunchbase permalinks and UUIDs.
  • 🔬 Research — gather a quick sample of organizations in a niche.
  • 🗃️ Data enrichment — attach a short description and logo to a list of company names.

📤 Output

One row per company. Public signed-out data fills these fields:

FieldDescription
nameOrganization name
url, permalink, uuidCrunchbase page, slug, and id
short_descriptionOne-line description
logo_urlLogo image URL
rank_orgCrunchbase rank, when the organization page publishes it
queryThe search text that found the company

The dataset also has categories, location, website, num_employees_enum, founded_on, operating_status, company_type, social links, contact_email, and phone_number. Crunchbase keeps most of these behind a paid login, so they are usually empty.

Example item:

{
  "name": "Payments Canada",
  "url": "https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/payments-canada",
  "permalink": "payments-canada",
  "uuid": "df880f78-2904-4366-a56f-29045ce202c9",
  "short_description": "Payments Canada is responsible for the clearing and settlement infrastructure, processes and rules essential to Canadian economy",
  "categories": [],
  "location": null,

💰 Pricing

$0.0003 per company saved ($0.30 per 1,000 companies). Platform usage is billed on top at standard rates. Crunchbase checks the browser first, so each run uses a short browser session (browser credits at $0.00075 each) plus compute.

Worked example: a 10-company search costs 10 × $0.0003 = $0.003 in result fees. With measured browser and compute usage, the whole job came to about $0.021.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape Crunchbase?

The actor reads only data that Crunchbase shows to signed-out visitors. Check Crunchbase's terms and applicable law for your use.

Do I need a Crunchbase account, cookie, or proxy?

No account and no cookie. Datacenter proxies are used by default and billed per GB.

How many companies can I get?

Up to 25 per search (the most Crunchbase suggests for one search), plus every organization URL you add. Add more searches or URLs to get more.

Why are website, location, funding, and employees empty?

Crunchbase only shows those columns to signed-in paid users. This actor does not log in, so they stay empty.

Can I schedule it or use the API?

Yes. Use Schedules for recurring runs, or call the REST API and read the dataset in any format.

What does a search return?

The public company suggestions Crunchbase shows for your text, each with its permalink, id, short description, and logo. The query field tells you which search found each row.

Which URLs work?

Public organization URLs such as https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/payments-canada, or a Crunchbase search URL with a q= parameter.

⚠️ Limits

  • Public suggestion data only: name, link, ids, short description, logo, and rank when public.
  • Categories, location, website, employee range, and funding stay empty without a Crunchbase login.
  • A run takes about one to three minutes because the site needs a browser check first. If the check does not clear, the run fails with a clear message and you can simply run it again.
  • At most 25 companies per search: Crunchbase suggests no more than 25 for one search.
  • Funding rounds, investors, people, and acquisitions are not included.
