What each setting does
The input this example runs CSLB Contractor License Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.
- Cities or ZIP codes
locations 95401
Find licensed contractors by location: California city names (e.g. 'Santa Rosa') or 5-digit ZIP codes (e.g. '95401'). Needs at least one license classification below. CSLB lists only contractors whose license is currently active and whose address of record is in that area.
- License classifications
classifications C-10
For a location search: the license classifications to list (e.g. B - General Building, C-10 - Electrical). Each city/ZIP is searched once per classification. For license, business and person searches this works as a filter: only licenses holding at least one of these classifications are kept.
- Max results per search
maxResults 10
Maximum contractor records to save for each business name, person, and city/ZIP + classification search. 0 means no limit (every match). License-number lookups always return every license you list.
Default: 20 → this example uses 10
- Include personnel
includePersonnel No
Add the people listed on each license (owners, officers, responsible managing employees/officers) with their titles and association dates. One extra page per license; no extra charge.
Default: Yes → this example uses No
- Include complaint disclosures
includeComplaints No
For licenses that show public complaint disclosures (citations, accusations, arbitrations, civil judgments), add the disclosed actions. No extra charge.
Default: Yes → this example uses No

}What it costs
About $0.015 for 10 results
An estimate: 10 × $0.0014 per contractor record (One contractor license record saved to the dataset. Licenses that do not exist or are filtered out are free). A run is charged for the events it reports, so one that finds fewer results costs less. Platform usage is included in the event price.
When to use this example
From the CSLB Contractor License Scraper readme:
How many results can I get?
As many as CSLB has. Set maxResults to 0 for every match. A city + classification search returns the full CSLB list for that area (for example, about 3,400 active General Building contractors in Los Angeles). Large runs stream results as they go. Each license is saved once per run, even when several of your searches find it.
