Is it legal? The actor reads public Kompass pages that anyone can open without an account. Check that your use of business contact data follows the laws that apply to you (for example GDPR in the EU).
Do I need a Kompass account or my own proxy? No. Residential proxies are used by default and the DataDome check is solved automatically.
How many companies can I get? Kompass shows visitors at most 100 companies per keyword search. Activity and region listing URLs page much deeper (thousands per activity and country).
Why are some fields empty? Kompass hides some data (employees at the address, turnover, some phone numbers) behind its paid options, and many companies do not publish every field. Hidden fields come back as null.
Can I schedule runs or use the API? Yes. Schedule the actor in the console or start it through the API, and read results as JSON or CSV.
Every field below can be set in the run form, passed through the API, or saved as a task. Unset fields fall back to the defaults shown.
searchQueriesarrayOptionalSearch keywords
Keywords to search on Kompass (products, services or company names). Each keyword is one search. Kompass shows visitors up to 100 companies per search; use activity URLs below for longer lists.
countryenumOptionalCountry
Only keep companies from this country (Kompass's own Location filter) for keyword searches. Leave empty for worldwide results.
startUrlsarrayOptionalKompass URLs
Kompass search URLs (kompass.com/searchCompanies?text=...), activity or region listing URLs (e.g. https://fr.kompass.com/a/bread/03600/ — all companies of that country in that activity, with deep pagination) and company profile URLs (kompass.com/c///).
maxItemsintegerOptionaldefault 20Max companies per search or URL
Maximum number of companies to save for each keyword and each listing URL (0 = as many as Kompass shows).
includeDetailsbooleanOptionaldefault trueInclude company details
Open each company's profile page for the full record: address, phone, fax, email, website, GPS, employees, year founded, legal form, capital, VAT and registration numbers, executives, NACE/ISIC codes, certifications and all activities. Turn off for fast, cheaper search-card data only (name, city, country, activities, supplier type).
languageenumOptionaldefault "en"Language
Language of activity names and labels. English uses the /en/ version of every Kompass page.

Kompass is protected by DataDome. Residential proxies (France by default) give the most reliable results; each exit clears the check once with the built-in anti-bot solver.
Every run writes its results to a dataset. Preview it in the dashboard, then export it or read it through the API.
