❓ FAQ

Is it legal? The actor reads the public pages of the ORIAS register, the same pages anyone can open in a browser. Check the register's terms of use and data protection rules (GDPR) for your use of the data, in particular for natural persons.

Do I need an ORIAS account or a proxy? No. The default proxy setting works.

How many results can I get? As many as the register holds. Set Max results to 0 for no limit. A whole-register export of the about 72,000 registered intermediaries with detail page data takes about 3 to 4.5 hours; list-only data takes about 50 minutes.

Why are phone, email or website empty? The register publishes them only when the intermediary chose to; otherwise they are empty.

What do COA, MIA, CIF... mean? They are the register's categories, e.g. COA = insurance or reinsurance broker, MIA = agent of an insurance intermediary, COBSP = banking and payment services broker, CIF = financial investment advisor. activeCategoryNames and categories[].label give the full names.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule runs, call the API, or use the results in your integrations.

⚠️ Limits

• European intermediaries that only notified ORIAS of activity in France (the register's "Intermédiaires européens" tab, without a SIREN or detail page) are not included.
• Location filters use the address shown in the register's result list (the main address).
• A whole-register export reads about 5,900 result pages of the register; filters that match few entries still go through all of them, which takes about 50 minutes.
