Updated November 8, 2026

What this example returns

This example returns up to 30 properties.

The dataset’s “Properties” view shows 15 columns: Owner name, Co-owner name, Reporting business (holder), Address, City, State, ZIP code, Owner relationship, Property type, Amount, Property ID, Searched state, Searched name, Searched property ID, and Search page. See every output field.

What each setting does

The input this example runs US Unclaimed Property Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.

Last or business names lastNames

Smith

Owner last names or business names to search, one per line (at least 2 letters each). Each name is one search in every selected state. Like the state's own search, exact name matches come first, followed by similar names.

States states

PA

Official state unclaimed property databases to search.

Max properties maxItems

30

Most properties to save in this run, over all searches. Empty or 0 = every property the searches return.

First name firstName

John

First name of the owner, sent with every name search. The state lists owners with this first name first; the other results stay (in Pennsylvania the same properties come back, reordered). Use city or ZIP code to narrow a search.

When to use this example

From the US Unclaimed Property Scraper readme:

How many results do I get?

Every property the state's search returns for your name and filters, up to the states' own limit of 1,000 per search. Use maxItems to stop earlier.

Why do I get similar names?

The states' searches list exact name matches first and then similar names, and the actor keeps that order. Add a city or ZIP code to narrow it down, or a first name to bring matching owners to the top.
