You pay $1.50 per 1,000 results ($0.0015 per song, artist or album saved), plus a small amount of platform usage (compute and proxy traffic).
Is it legal to scrape Shazam? The scraper collects public music metadata that anyone can see on shazam.com without an account. Use it in line with the site's terms and the laws that apply to you, and only recognise audio you have the right to analyse.
Do I need a Shazam account or proxies? No. No login is needed. Datacenter proxies are used by default; if the site refuses them, the scraper switches to residential proxies by itself.
How many results can I get? Up to 100 songs, 100 artists and 100 albums per search term, every song of each chart (Top 200, city Top 50, genre charts of 50 to 200), and as many tracks as you list.
Why are some fields empty? Not every song has a label, ISRC, composer or audio analysis on Shazam. Shazam counts and audio features come from each song's Shazam page; when the site does not return that page, the song is still saved with all other fields.
Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule runs to track charts daily, or start runs and read datasets through the API.
Every field below can be set in the run form, passed through the API, or saved as a task. Unset fields fall back to the defaults shown.
searchQueriesarrayOptionalSearch songs, artists or albums
Search terms, like in the Shazam search bar: a song title, an artist, an album or a mix such as Blinding Lights The Weeknd. Each term returns up to Max results per result type (the search answers at most 100 per type).
chartsarrayOptionalShazam charts
Shazam charts to scrape, as links or short names: world (Top 200 Global), a country such as US, germany or https://www.shazam.com/charts/top-200/japan, a city such as US/chicago or germany/berlin, a genre chart such as genre/world/pop or genre/US/hip-hop-rap, or a viral chart such as viral/GB. Each song comes with its chart position.
tracksarrayOptionalShazam tracks
Shazam track IDs or links (549952578, https://www.shazam.com/track/549952578/drivers-license, https://www.shazam.com/song/1560735424/drivers-license) or Apple Music song links. Each track comes with its Shazam count and audio features (BPM, energy, danceability, ...) when the site shows them.
audioUrlsarrayOptionalRecognise songs from audio files
Direct links to audio files (MP3, M4A/AAC, WAV, FLAC or OGG, up to 20 MB). Shazam listens to about 12 seconds from the middle of each file and returns the matching song. Files without a match are listed in the run summary and not charged.
maxResultsintegerOptionaldefault 20Max results
How many results to save per search term and result type, per chart, and per track's similar songs. Charts have up to 200 songs, searches up to 100 per type. 0 = as many as available.
Search types, country and extra Shazam data.
searchTypesarrayOptionaldefault ["songs"]Search result types
What the search terms return: songs, artists, albums or any mix of them.
countryCodestringOptionaldefault "US"Country
Two-letter country code of the music store used for search results, song details and links (e.g. US, GB, DE, JP, BR). Country charts use their own country.
includeShazamDetailsbooleanOptionaldefault falseAdd Shazam count and audio features to search and chart songs
Also open each song's Shazam page to add how many times it was Shazamed, its label and its audio features (BPM, energy, danceability, valence, acousticness, melodicness). Slower; track lookups always include them.
includeSimilarSongsbooleanOptionaldefault falseAdd similar songs for tracks
For each Shazam track, also save the similar songs Shazam recommends (up to Max results), each linked to the track it came from.
proxyConfigurationobjectOptionaldefault {"useScrapelyProxy":true,"scrapelyProxyGroups":["DATACENTER…Proxy configuration
Datacenter proxies work for Shazam and are the cheapest. If the site refuses them, the scraper switches to US residential proxies by itself.
Every run writes its results to a dataset. Preview it in the dashboard, then export it or read it through the API.
