🧑‍💻 Guru.com Scraper

Scrape freelance jobs and freelancer profiles from guru.com in seconds. Get budgets, deadlines, quote counts, skills and employer spend for every open job, or rates, earnings, feedback scores and services for freelancers and agencies. No login, no browser, and it costs $0.70 per 1,000 results.

✨ Why use Guru.com Scraper?

  • ⚡ Fast: 10 results arrive in about 5 seconds and every open job on guru.com (about 175) in about 15 seconds.
  • 🔀 Two modes in one actor: open jobs, or freelancer and agency profiles. Search by keyword, category, location or any guru.com URL.
  • 🧹 Clean, typed data: budgets split into min / max numbers, deadlines and posting dates as YYYY-MM-DD, skills as a clean list, and employer spend, earnings and feedback as numbers.
  • 🔍 Optional deep details: full job descriptions, invited and hired counts and the employer's payment history. For freelancers you also get all-time earnings, transactions, member since and every service with its rates.
  • 📈 Big freelancer lists: guru.com shows 2,000 results per search. Bigger searches are split by category and sort order automatically, and duplicates are removed.
  • 💸 Cheap: one flat price per result, with or without details.

🎯 Use cases

  • 🎯 Lead generation for agencies and freelancers: find new jobs in your niche, see how many quotes each one already has, and pick employers who actually pay (total spend, paid invoices, feedback).
  • 🤝 Recruiting and sourcing: build lists of freelancers or agencies by skill, country, earnings and feedback score.
  • 💰 Rate benchmarking: compare hourly rates and starting prices by skill, category and country.
  • 📊 Market research: track which skills and categories get posted most, typical budgets and how competitive jobs are.
  • 🔔 Job alerts: schedule a run every hour with the newest jobs for your keywords and send the new ones to Slack, email or a sheet.

💰 Pricing

You pay $0.70 per 1,000 results ($0.0007 per job or freelancer), with or without details, plus platform usage (compute and proxy traffic). Usage is small: about $0.0004 for 100 search results in our test runs, and more with details because every result opens one extra page.

Example: 1,000 freelancer profiles ≈ $0.70 in result fees plus a few cents of usage at most. You never pay for rows that were not saved, and you can cap a run with the maximum charge setting.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape guru.com? The actor only reads public pages that anyone can open without an account. You are responsible for how you use the data, including privacy rules such as the GDPR for personal data. Check guru.com's terms for your use case.

Do I need a guru.com account or my own proxy? No. No login, no cookies. The actor uses Scrapely datacenter proxies by default and moves to US residential proxies by itself if guru.com starts refusing requests.

How many results can I get? Jobs: every open job on guru.com (about 175 when we tested; guru.com lists only open jobs). Freelancers: guru.com shows 2,000 results per search, and the actor splits bigger searches by category and sort order to go further. Use several keywords or locations for very large lists.

Why are some fields empty? guru.com does not show every field for every result: many jobs have no budget amount ("Fixed Price" only), new employers have no spend or feedback yet, and freelancers without reviews have no feedback score. Detail fields are filled only with Open each result for full details.

Is the job description complete? Without details you get the search snippet (descriptionIsSnippet: true when guru.com cut it). With details you get the description shown on the public job page.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule runs in the console (for example every hour for new jobs), call the actor through the Scrapely API, or connect it with webhooks and integrations.

⚠️ Limits

  • Only public data: job Q&A, applicant lists and employer contact details need a guru.com account and are not scraped.
  • guru.com shows at most 100 pages (2,000 results) per search. Freelancer searches bigger than that are split by category and sort order; a split search can still miss some profiles in very large, unfiltered lists.
  • Location filters work at country level for jobs. For freelancers use Country or City, State, Country exactly as guru.com spells it.
  • datePosted without details is worked out from relative times such as "5 hrs ago", so it can be off by a day around midnight UTC.
  • Rates and earnings are in US dollars, as guru.com shows them.
