What each setting does

The input this example runs BPS Indonesia Statistics Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.

Search tables searchTerms

inflasi

Keywords to find tables on the BPS site set below, e.g. "persentase penduduk miskin", "inflasi", "rata-rata lama sekolah". Every dynamic table found (up to "Tables per search") is read with the filters below.

Max values maxItems

0

Most values (rows) to save in this run. Empty or 0 = no limit.

Regions regions

Kota Palembang

Keep only these regions: names as the table writes them ("Sumatera Selatan", "Kota Palembang", "Kab. Bogor"; any case, Indonesian or English) or row codes. On www.bps.go.id tables the codes are BPS region codes (1600), and a 2-digit code keeps the province and its regencies / cities (16 = 1600 and 1601-1674);…

From year fromYear

2015

First year to read. Empty = the table's first year.

To year toYear

2025

Last year to read. Empty = the newest year.

Periods periods

December

Keep only these periods of a year, matched as part of the label: e.g. "Tahunan" (annual), "Maret", "Agustus", "Desember", "Triwulan IV". Empty = all. Tables with one value per year are always kept.

BPS site to search site

sumsel

Where "Search tables" looks: www.bps.go.id (national tables, all provinces) or a province / regency site such as sumsel.bps.go.id (or just "sumsel").

Default: www.bps.go.id → this example uses sumsel

Tables per search maxTablesPerSearch

2

How many tables to read for each keyword, in the site's own order. 0 = every table found.

Default: 5 → this example uses 2

Language language

English

Language of indicator, region and period names (BPS publishes tables in Indonesian and English).

Default: Bahasa Indonesia → this example uses English

When to use this example

From the BPS Indonesia Statistics Scraper readme:

How many values can I get?

As many as the tables hold: every year, region, breakdown and period, unless you set filters or Max values.

Known limit

Some tables list industries, expenditure groups or other categories instead of regions (e.g. GRDP growth by industry): leave Regions empty for them.
