Updated October 27, 2026
What this example returns
This example returns up to 10 results.
The dataset’s “Races” view shows 14 columns: Race, Track, Race #, Race, Race type, Distance, Surface, Purse, Post time, Starters, Winner, Time, Win $2, and Result. See every output field.
What each setting does
The input this example runs Equibase Horse Racing Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.
- Race date
raceDate yesterday
The day to collect, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2026-10-18) or MM/DD/YYYY. You can also write today, yesterday, tomorrow or -3 (three days ago). Empty = today (US Eastern time). Results exist only for races that have been run; race cards are posted a few days ahead.
- Max records
maxItems 10
Stop after this many records (one race = one record; in race-day changes mode one change = one record). A busy day in North America has 200 to 300 races. 0 = no limit.
Default: 20 → this example uses 10
{
"raceDate": "yesterday",
"maxItems": 10
}What it costs
You pay for the events the actor reports, such as each result or page it produces. Platform usage is included in the event prices: compute, proxies, browser and storage cost nothing extra.
- Horse profile$0.00095One horse history record (career starts, speed figures, workouts), only when Add horse history is on.
- Race record$0.00095One race (race card and/or result with payouts) or one race-day change.
- Run start$0.00006Charged once when a run starts.
When to use this example
From the Equibase Horse Racing Scraper readme:
Why does `surface` differ from `scheduled_surface`?
The race was moved, usually taken off the turf because of weather. surface is where it was actually run.
