SEC EDGAR Scraper

Try for free

Scrape SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form 4, 13F, S-1 and more) by ticker, CIK, company name or full-text search, with XBRL financials, parsed insider trades and document text. Official SEC data, no login.

🏛️ SEC EDGAR Scraper

Pull SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form 4, 13F, S-1, 20-F, proxy statements and every other form type) for any company. Look companies up by ticker, CIK or name, or search the full text of every filing since 2001. Each filing comes with company data, direct document links, the XBRL figures it reported, parsed insider trades and, if you want it, the document text. Data comes straight from the official SEC endpoints, needs no login and costs $0.30 per 1,000 filings.

✨ Why use SEC EDGAR Scraper?

  • ⚡ Fast: 10 filings with financials or insider trades come back in a few seconds.
  • 📊 Correct financials: revenue, net income, EPS, assets, equity, cash flow and more, matched to the exact filing and period that reported them, so a 2026 10-Q never shows 2018 revenue.
  • 🕵️ Insider trades decoded: Forms 3, 4 and 5 are parsed into owners, roles, transaction codes, shares, prices, values and holdings after each trade.
  • 🔎 Full-text search: search the text of every EDGAR filing since 2001, optionally limited to your companies and form types.
  • 🔁 Built for monitoring: incremental mode returns only new filings on scheduled runs.
  • 💸 Cheap: $0.30 per 1,000 filings. No subscription, no login, no API key.

🎯 Use cases

  • 📈 Equity research: collect every 10-K and 10-Q of a watchlist with the key figures already extracted.
  • 🧑‍💼 Insider-trading signals: track Form 4 buys and sells by executives and directors across many tickers.
  • 🚨 Event monitoring: watch 8-K items (earnings, executive changes, M&A, cybersecurity incidents) as companies file them.
  • 🧾 Compliance and due diligence: archive a company's complete filing history with links to every document and exhibit.
  • 🤖 AI and NLP datasets: export plain text of annual reports, risk factors or proxy statements for LLM pipelines.
  • 🆕 Deal flow: list the latest S-1, 424B4 or SC 13D filings across the whole market.

🚀 How to use

  1. Enter one or more tickers (e.g. AAPL, MSFT), CIK numbers or company names, or write a full-text search query.
  2. Choose the form types (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 4) and optionally a date range.
  3. Set Max filings and pick the extra data you want: XBRL financials, insider trades, filing documents, document text.
  4. Click Start and wait a few seconds.
  5. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the API.

Leave the companies and the query empty to get the latest filings of the chosen form types across all companies, for example every 8-K filed today.

💰 Pricing

You pay $0.30 per 1,000 filings ($0.0003 per filing) plus a small amount of platform usage. The actor runs at 1 GB and finishes most jobs in seconds, so usage is about $0.001 for a typical job. Example: 1,000 filings ≈ $0.30 plus usage. Extras such as financials, insider trades and document text cost nothing extra per filing. If a run reaches your maximum charge limit, it stops cleanly and keeps everything saved so far.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. EDGAR is a public U.S. government database. The actor uses the official SEC endpoints, identifies itself with a declared User-Agent and stays under SEC's 10 requests per second fair-access limit.

Do I need a login, API key or proxy? No. A datacenter proxy is the default. You can also add your own contact email for the SEC User-Agent.

How many filings can I get? A company's full history, back to the 1990s for older filers. Full-text search covers 2001 onward and handles more than 10,000 hits by splitting the date range.

Why is a field empty? Not every filing has every field. 8-Ks have no XBRL figures, older filings may lack XBRL, and some companies report a figure under a less common concept. Use xbrlConcepts to add the concept you need.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule it with incrementalMode on to receive only new filings, and call it from the API, webhooks or integrations like any other actor.

What does "Text summary" use? A template built from the filing data. No AI service is called.

⚠️ Limits

  • Only data that SEC publishes on EDGAR. There are no stock prices or analyst estimates.
  • XBRL figures exist for filings from about 2009 onward and only for financial-statement forms.
  • 13F holdings tables and other exhibits are linked (includeFilingDocuments), not parsed into rows.
  • Full-text search covers 2001 onward. Its ranking and query syntax are SEC's.
  • Results are ordered newest first per company or per date window; across many companies the order follows your input.
