You pay $0.30 per 1,000 results ($0.0003 per ticker), and one result is one ticker with all the blocks you selected. Platform usage (compute and datacenter proxy traffic) is billed on top and is small, because the scraper uses no browser.
Example: 1,000 tickers cost $0.30 in result fees plus about $0.07 of platform usage (measured on a 1,000-ticker run: $0.057 datacenter traffic and $0.006 compute). Tickers that are not found are not charged.
Is it legal to scrape Yahoo Finance? The scraper only reads publicly available market data that anyone can see on finance.yahoo.com without logging in. Check Yahoo's terms and your local rules before you redistribute the data.
Do I need a Yahoo account, an API key or my own proxy? No. The default datacenter proxy works for Yahoo Finance.
How many tickers can I scrape? As many as you like. A run handles roughly 4 tickers per second with all blocks, and you can feed thousands of tickers at once or pull them from screeners.
Why is a field empty or null? Yahoo does not publish every block for every instrument. Crypto, forex and indices have no financial statements, holders or options, and some small caps have no analyst coverage. Empty blocks are returned as empty lists or nulls rather than made-up values.
How far back does price history go? Daily, weekly and monthly candles go back to the first trading day. Yahoo keeps 1-minute candles for about 7 days, other minute intervals for about 60 days and hourly candles for about 2 years.
Can I schedule it or use it through the API? Yes. Schedule runs from the console, or start them over the REST API and read the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.
"truncated": true.Every field below can be set in the run form, passed through the API, or saved as a task. Unset fields fall back to the defaults shown.
