🔢 Barcode Lookup Scraper

Turn UPC, EAN, ISBN and GTIN barcodes into clean product records from Barcode Lookup: title, brand, manufacturer, category, description, images, attributes, ingredients, nutrition facts and the online stores that sell the item, with their prices. Search the barcode database by product name too. No login, no API key, and you pay only for the products you get.

✨ Why use Barcode Lookup Scraper?

  • 🔍 Barcodes and keywords — look up any list of UPC-A, EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN-10/13 or GTIN codes, or search by product name and get the matching barcodes.
  • 🏪 Store prices included — every online store listed for the product, with its price, currency and a clean store link, plus lowest, highest and average price.
  • 🧾 Rich product data — category path, brand and manufacturer, MPN, model, ASIN, size, color, weight, dimensions, release date, features, ingredients and nutrition facts when the site has them.
  • ⚡ Fast in bulk — pages load in parallel browser sessions: 5 barcodes in about 13 seconds and 1,000 barcodes in about 11 minutes in our tests.
  • 🔓 No account needed — the actor gets past the site's bot check for you; you never need a login, cookies or a Barcode Lookup API key.
  • 💸 Pay per product — products not in the database are listed for free, so you can see which codes were missing.

🎯 Use cases

💰 Pricing

  • $0.015 per product with full details (from a barcode or a search hit), that is $15 per 1,000 products.
  • $0.003 per search result when full details are turned off ($3 per 1,000).
  • Barcodes that are not in the database are saved with status: "not_found" and are free.
  • Platform usage (compute and the hosted browser) is billed on top. In our tests it came to about $0.40 to $1.20 per 1,000 products with details (1,000 barcodes: $1.04) and about $0.10 per 1,000 list-only search results. So 1,000 barcodes cost about $16 in total, and a 10-barcode lookup about $0.17.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape Barcode Lookup? The actor reads public product pages that anyone can open without an account. Check the site's terms and your local rules for how you use the data.

Do I need a login, an API key or a proxy? No. The actor uses a hosted browser that gets past the site's bot check, and needs no account or key from you.

How many results can I get? Any number of barcodes per run. For keyword searches the site lists at most 100 pages (1,000 products) per term, so use more specific terms to go deeper.

Why is a field empty? Barcode Lookup only shows what it has for that product. Food items have ingredients and nutrition, books have an author, electronics have MPN and model. Store lists can be empty for products no store sells online right now.

What happens with a code that isn't in the database? You get a row with status: "not_found" for it, free of charge, and the run carries on.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Save the input as a task, schedule it, or start it from the API and read the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

⚠️ Limits

  • Data is what barcodelookup.com shows on its product pages. Store prices are the ones the site lists, which can lag behind the stores' own pages.
  • Keyword searches return at most 1,000 products per term (the site's 100-page limit).
  • User reviews are not collected; only the average rating is.
  • Inputs that are not 8 to 14 digits (or an ISBN-10 ending in X) are skipped with a warning; put product names under Search terms instead.
