The best Decodo alternatives in 2026 are Scrape.ly, Evomi, Bright Data, Oxylabs and IPRoyal. Among Decodo alternatives, Scrape.ly is our top pick because it removes the reason you were buying gigabytes: its 570+ ready-made scrapers include proxy traffic in a fixed price per result, and your own scrapers get managed proxies and an anti-bot browser in the same run. If you only need raw IPs for code on your own servers, Evomi, the proxy network from the team behind Scrape.ly, sells residential proxies at $0.49 per GB.

Decodo, the proxy provider formerly known as Smartproxy, sells good residential proxies by the gigabyte. That works until you notice how much of your week goes into the scraper around them. Below: what Decodo charges, sourced from its own pages, the criteria worth comparing, five alternatives side by side, a real run where the proxy traffic was already inside the price, and how to move your traffic over. Every price was checked on the vendor's own page on 27 October 2026.

Why teams look for Decodo alternatives

Per Decodo's residential proxy pricing page:

  • You pay per GB, and small plans pay the most. Monthly residential plans run from $3.75 per GB on the 3 GB plan to $2.75 per GB on the 100 GB plan ($275 a month). Enterprise plans go from $2.50 per GB at 250 GB to $2 at 1 TB.
  • Without a plan, it's $4 per GB, one GB at a time. It runs from a Wallet you load first, "you can purchase only one GB at a time", and "you can't have a monthly subscription plan and Pay As You Go simultaneously."
  • The trial is short. New users get 100 MB for 3 days, and "after the trial period ends, your chosen plan will activate automatically."
  • Proxies are only the network. Every plan includes the 115M+ IP pool and targeting down to city, ZIP code and ASN. Writing the scraper, parsing the pages, retrying blocks, storing results and scheduling runs is still your job, and every retry burns gigabytes.

Decodo also sells a Web Scraping API with 100+ pre-built templates. If you're looking at that too, the question is the same one this list answers: how much of the work arrives already done.

What to look for in Decodo alternatives

  1. Results, not just IPs. For Amazon, Google or Google Maps, a maintained scraper that returns rows beats a proxy pool plus your own parser.
  2. A price you can predict. Per-GB bills depend on page weight and retries. A price per result is known before you start.
  3. Proxies that come with the run. Credentials you never store can't leak, and traffic billed in the same run is one less invoice.
  4. A browser for hard sites. When rotating IPs isn't enough, you need fingerprints and challenge solving, not just more gigabytes.
  5. A low per-GB rate for raw traffic, without a large plan, for the scrapers that stay on your own servers.
  6. A spending cap and agent access, so one runaway job or one AI agent can't run up a bill.

Bright Data was running a 50% coupon on residential traffic for the first three months on 27 October 2026; the table shows its list price. Sources for every cell are linked in each section below.

1. Scrape.ly: scrapers with the proxies already inside

Scrape.ly is a web data platform: a Store of 570+ ready-made scrapers called Actors, a cloud runtime for your own code, managed proxies, a hosted anti-bot browser, an API with Python and JavaScript clients, and an MCP server for AI agents. For a Decodo customer, it changes what you buy.

Store Actors include the proxy traffic. The Amazon Product Scraper charges $1.06 per 1,000 products and the Google Search Scraper $3.30 per 1,000 results pages, with compute, proxy and browser included in both. You don't estimate page weight, you don't pay for retries, and a blocked request is the publisher's problem to solve, not a line on your bill.

Your own scrapers get managed proxies per run. Deploy Crawlee, Playwright, Puppeteer, Scrapy or Apify SDK code as an Actor and ask for a residential or datacenter pool with a country. Each run gets its own proxy credentials, and the password only works from inside that run, so there's no account-wide proxy password to leak. You can also pass your own proxy URLs, such as Evomi's, or mix them with the managed pool. The proxy docs cover every option.

An anti-bot browser when IPs aren't enough. The Scrape.ly browser is a hosted Chromium with anti-bot fingerprints and Cloudflare Turnstile solving that routes through its own residential proxy, with country, state and city targeting. Turn it on for an Actor and your Playwright or Puppeteer launches connect to it without code changes.

Guardrails and agents. Every run can carry a maximum charge, and it stops when it reaches it. The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.scrape.ly lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code and ChatGPT run any Store Actor, and a scoped API key with a daily charge limit keeps an agent inside a budget.

Best for: teams that buy proxies to scrape popular sites and would rather buy the finished data, plus teams that want their own scrapers, proxies and a browser on one balance. The anti-blocking page shows how the pieces fit.

A real run: the proxy bill that didn't happen

We reused an Amazon Product Scraper run from 26 October 2026: one Amazon search for "usb c cable", up to 5 products. It saved 5 products in 5.5 seconds:

Product Price Rating Reviews
Anker USB C to USB C Cable, 60W (2-Pack, 6 ft) $9.99 4.7 90,400
LISEN USB C to USB C Cable, 240W (6.6 ft) $8.97 4.5 12,600
CLEEFUN USB C to USB C Cable 6ft, 5-Pack $13.99 4.7 2,000

At list price the run cost $0.0057: five products at $0.00106 plus $0.0004 for the run start. The platform's own record shows what was inside that price: $0.00037 of compute and $0.00019 of datacenter proxy traffic. On a per-GB proxy plan, that traffic would be yours to buy, and the parsing yours to write.

2. Evomi: the cheapest residential proxies on this list

Evomi is our sister company's proxy network: Scrape.ly and Evomi are both brands of TeraShift GmbH in Switzerland, and Evomi's network is the one Scrape.ly's proxy pools run on. If your scrapers stay on your own servers and you only need the IPs, it's the best-value Decodo replacement here.

Per Evomi's pricing page:

  • Residential from $0.49 per GB. Core Residential costs $49 a month for 100 GB, and extra gigabytes stay at $0.49. Decodo's 100 GB plan costs $275.
  • No commitment, and no one-GB steps. $0.99 per GB from 15 GB, falling to $0.79 from 1,000 GB, with no commitment and no expiry: "buy the data once and draw it down whenever you need it."
  • The pool. 54M+ ethically sourced residential IPs, rotating and sticky sessions, and country and city targeting.
  • Other proxy types. Datacenter proxies from $0.30 per GB and static residential (ISP) proxies from $1 per IP, and Evomi offers a free trial to all users.

Best for: teams that run their own scrapers and want the lowest residential rate without a large plan.

3. Bright Data

Bright Data runs a 400M+ residential pool in 195 countries with country, state, city and ZIP code targeting. Residential traffic lists at $8 per GB without a commitment, and monthly plans start at $499. On 27 October 2026 a coupon took 50% off residential prices for the first three months.

Best for: large companies that want proxies, scraper APIs and datasets from one big vendor. For raw residential traffic, Evomi's $0.49 per GB plan rate is far below Bright Data's list prices; see Bright Data alternatives for the full comparison.

4. Oxylabs

Oxylabs sells one subscription that covers all its products: Starter at $30 a month, Basic at $100, Flexible at $500 and Enterprise from $2,500. Residential traffic costs $6 per GB at small volumes, $5 up to 20 GB, $4 up to 125 GB and $2.50 from 1,000 GB. New accounts get free welcome credits.

Best for: teams that want proxies, a scraper API and a browser product on one Oxylabs subscription. Compare it with Scrape.ly in Scrape.ly vs Oxylabs, and with other providers in Oxylabs alternatives.

5. IPRoyal

IPRoyal sells residential proxies from $1.75 per GB "with a ZERO monthly minimum and no long-term contracts", with city-level targeting. It also sells ISP, datacenter and mobile proxies.

Best for: small projects that want residential IPs without a subscription. At $0.99 per GB with no commitment, Evomi undercuts IPRoyal's lowest advertised rate.

What 100 GB of residential traffic costs

A common monthly volume, at each provider's published rates on 27 October 2026:

Provider 100 GB a month How
Evomi $49 Core Residential, 100 GB plan
Decodo $275 100 GB plan at $2.75 per GB
Oxylabs $400 100 GB at $4 per GB, its rate up to 125 GB
Bright Data $800 No commitment, at the $8 list price ($400 with its three-month coupon)

Before you size a proxy plan, check whether the traffic is for a site the Store already covers. If it is, the gigabytes disappear from the bill and you pay per result instead.

How to switch from Decodo

1. Sort your traffic by target. List the sites your Decodo traffic goes to. For each one, search the Store. Amazon, Google Search, Google Maps, LinkedIn and job boards all have Actors, and every one you use is a scraper and a slice of proxy traffic you stop paying for. The Amazon scrapers hub is a good place to start, and if you also pay Zyte for unblocking, Zyte alternatives covers that move.

2. Move your own scrapers to Actors. Push the code with the CLI and ask for a proxy pool in the code. In Python, from the proxy docs:

python
import asyncio

from scrapely import Actor

async def main():
    proxy_configuration = await Actor.create_proxy_configuration(
        groups=["RESIDENTIAL"],
        country_code="US",
    )
    proxy_url = await proxy_configuration.new_url()
    Actor.log.info(f"Using {proxy_url}")

if __name__ == "__main__":
    asyncio.run(Actor.main(main))

Crawlee crawlers take the same proxyConfiguration object, and newUrl(sessionId) keeps related requests on one IP. If a site still blocks you, turn on the Scrape.ly browser for the Actor instead of buying more gigabytes.

3. Point code that stays on your servers at Evomi. Swap Decodo's endpoint and credentials for Evomi's. Your rotating and sticky session logic carries over.

4. Give your agents the same tools. Add https://mcp.scrape.ly to Claude Code with claude mcp add --transport http scrapely https://mcp.scrape.ly and ask for data by site instead of by IP. Our guide to rotating proxies for web scraping covers the patterns if you keep some traffic on raw proxies.

FAQ

What is the best Decodo alternative?

Scrape.ly. Its 570+ ready-made scrapers include proxy traffic in a fixed price per result, and your own scrapers get managed proxies, an anti-bot browser and a spending cap in the same run. For raw residential IPs, Evomi, our sister network, charges $0.49 per GB on its 100 GB plan.

Is Decodo the same as Smartproxy?

Yes. Per Decodo's homepage, "Smartproxy officially became Decodo in April 2025", with the same company, team and proxy network. Its residential proxies cost $3.75 to $2.75 per GB on monthly plans and $4 per GB without a plan, as of 27 October 2026.

What is the cheapest alternative to Decodo for residential proxies?

Of the providers here, Evomi: $0.49 per GB on its $49 plan for 100 GB, or $0.99 per GB from 15 GB with no commitment and no expiry. IPRoyal starts at $1.75 per GB, Decodo's lowest monthly rate is $2.75 at 100 GB, and its rate without a plan is $4.

Do I need proxies if I use Scrape.ly?

Not for Store Actors: their prices include the proxy traffic they use. For your own code running on Scrape.ly, the managed residential and datacenter pools come with each run and are billed per GB on the same balance, with nothing to configure beyond the pool and the country. Our residential vs datacenter proxies guide explains which to pick.

Can I use Evomi proxies on Scrape.ly?

Yes. Pass Evomi's proxy URLs to your Actor with proxyUrls, or mix them with the managed pool. Scrape.ly's own pools already run on Evomi's network.
