What this example returns

What each setting does

The input this example runs AmbitionBox Scraper with. “Try this input” opens it in the console, where you can run it as-is or change any field first.

Companies or AmbitionBox URLs startUrls

infosys

One per line. Use a company name (Tata Consultancy Services), its AmbitionBox slug (tcs, infosys, wipro) or a company URL. Names and slugs get the sections chosen below. A URL decides its own section: /reviews/tcs-reviews (also with a designation, location or filters), /salaries/tcs-salaries,…

Max items per company and list maxItems

15

How many reviews, salary designations or interview experiences to save per company and section. The salaries and interviews sections also save one summary row, up to this many recent salary submissions (the site shows 50) and top interview questions. 0 means no limit. AmbitionBox shows at most 500 pages of reviews…

Default: 20 → this example uses 15

Review order reviewSort

Latest first

Order of the reviews. Applies to review URLs that do not set their own order.

Default: Most relevant (site default) → this example uses Latest first

Only reviews newer than reviewsNewerThan

30 days

A date (2026-01-31) or a span (7 days, 3 months, 1 year). Reviews are then read latest first and the run stops at the first older page.

Add company ratings to each review includeCompanyAggregate

No

Adds the company's overall rating, all sub-ratings, star distribution, work culture and work policy split to every review row, so a CSV export needs no join.

Default: Yes → this example uses No

When to use this example

From the AmbitionBox Scraper readme:

Why are some fields empty?

AmbitionBox shows what the reviewer filled in. likes, dislikes, work days or travel can be missing on short reviews, and workExperience, workDescription and benefits are rarely shown on review listings. The actor never invents values.

Can I schedule it or use the API?

Yes. Schedule runs in the console, or start runs and read datasets through the API, the CLI or MCP. For monitoring, use reviewSort: "latest" with reviewsNewerThan: "1 day".
