💰 Pricing

You pay $0.50 per 1,000 listings ($0.0005 per saved row), with no start fee. For example, 1,000 Volkswagen Golf adverts with full details cost $0.50 in result fees. Platform usage (compute and proxy traffic) is billed on top at the normal rates and is small for this scraper, because it reads AutoTrader's data directly without a browser. You can cap any run with the maximum total charge; the scraper stops cleanly when the cap is reached.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape AutoTrader UK? The scraper only reads publicly visible listings, the same pages anyone can open without an account. You are responsible for how you use the data, including UK GDPR and AutoTrader's terms. Do not use it to contact private sellers in bulk.

Do I need an AutoTrader account or a proxy? No account. The default datacenter proxy works; if AutoTrader starts blocking it, the scraper switches to UK residential proxies by itself.

How many results can I get? AutoTrader shows up to 2,000 listings per search. With Split big searches by price on (default), bigger searches are cut into price bands, so you can collect far more. Set Maximum results to what you need.

Why are some fields empty? Fields depend on what the seller filled in. Turn on Include advert details for fuel, gearbox, specs, features, history and dealer contacts; search-card rows carry price, mileage, year, location and photos only. Private sellers never get name, phone or email in the output.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule runs (for example "most recent" every morning) and read results through the API or integrations in JSON, CSV or Excel.

⚠️ Limits

• Cars only (/car-search and /car-details). Vans, bikes, motorhomes and leasing deals are not covered.
• AutoTrader caps one search at 2,000 listings; price splitting works around this, but a single exact price with more than 2,000 cars stays capped.
• Personalised finance quotes, part-exchange valuations and full paid history checks are not included; only the basic history check shown on the advert.
• Private sellers' contact details are not collected.
• The data is what AutoTrader shows at the time of the run; sold adverts disappear quickly.
