✨ Why use Tripadvisor Scraper?

  • 💸 Cheap — $0.0025 per place ($2.50 per 1,000), plus a small amount of platform usage.
  • 🔓 No login — only public Tripadvisor pages are read.
  • 🗺️ Three place types — hotels, restaurants, and attractions, from a city search or direct URLs.
  • 📇 Rich place data — rating, review histogram, ranking, address, phone, website, coordinates, hours, cuisines, and hotel class where available.
  • 🌐 Language and currency — request details in 9 languages and prices in 6 currencies.
  • 🧱 Handles protected pages — runs through a datacenter proxy with an anti-bot step already built in.

🎯 Use cases

  • 🏨 Hotel price lists — compare class, rating, ranking, and price range across a city.
  • 🍽️ Restaurant lead lists — collect names, phone numbers, websites, cuisines, and hours for outreach.

  • 📊 Market research — measure how many places of each type a destination has and how they rank.
  • 🧭 Travel apps and content — seed a travel guide or comparison site with structured data.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape Tripadvisor? The actor reads public pages without logging in. You are responsible for how you use the data and for following local law and Tripadvisor's terms.

Do I need a login or my own proxy? No. A datacenter proxy is configured by default; switch the group to residential if a region is blocked.

How many places can one run collect? As many as you set, for the search query and again for each start URL, up to what Tripadvisor lists there.

Why is a field empty? Some places have no email, website, or published description. Review-tag counts are not always published, so the tag text is saved without a count.

Can I scrape a single place? Yes. Paste the hotel, restaurant, or attraction URL into startUrls.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes, through schedules in the console or the API.

⚠️ Limits

  • Public pages only. The actor does not log in and does not read private trips.
  • Review-tag counts, the restaurant dish list, and full metro-station addresses are thinner than on the Tripadvisor page.
  • Business-lead enrichment and email verification are not included.
  • Runs on protected pages take longer than simple sites; a 10-place run can take about half a minute.
  • Hotel prices depend on the check-in and check-out dates you set.
