🏡 HAR.com Texas Real Estate Scraper

Pull Texas property data from HAR.com, the Houston Association of REALTORS® portal that lists homes across the whole state. Get homes for sale, for rent, recently sold and leased homes with the final sold price and date, or the agent directory with phone numbers. Search by city, county, area or zip, or paste any HAR.com URL. No login, no browser, and 1,000 listings arrive in about 10 seconds.

✨ Why use HAR.com Texas Real Estate Scraper?

  • ⚡ Fast: listings come from HAR.com's own search data, 120 per request. In our tests 1,000 homes took about 10 seconds and 12,000 homes about a minute.
  • 💵 Real sold prices: Sold and Leased modes return the closing price, closing date, sold price per sqft and the selling agent's id, straight from HAR.com search.
  • 🧾 60 fields per home: price, beds, baths, sqft, lot, year built, GPS, MLS number, days on market, HOA, yearly tax, listing agent, brokerage phone and email.
  • 🔓 No 10,000 cap: HAR.com shows at most 10,000 results per search. When you ask for more, the scraper splits the search into price bands by itself and keeps going.
  • 🧑‍💼 Agent leads: Agents mode lists HAR.com agents by office city or zip, with phone, brokerage, Platinum badge and their sold, leased and showings counts.
  • 🔍 Optional full details: description, every photo, dozens of features and three home valuations (ICE, Cotality and the appraisal district) per property.

🎯 Use cases

  • 📈 Market analysis: track inventory, prices, price per sqft and days on market across Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and every Texas town.
  • 🏷️ Comps and valuation: pull recently sold homes with final prices and dates, then compare them with ICE and Cotality estimates.
  • 💼 Investor deal sourcing: filter for price cuts, foreclosures, new construction, pools, lot size or year built.
  • 🏢 Rental research: monitor asking rents and what actually leased, by zip or neighbourhood.
  • 🤝 Real-estate lead generation: build lists of listing agents, brokerages (with phone and email) and top-producing agents.
  • 🗺️ Mapping and dashboards: every home has GPS coordinates, market area and subdivision.

💰 Pricing

  • $3.25 per 1,000 results (homes or agents).
  • +$0.50 per 1,000 properties when Include full property details is on.
  • Platform usage is billed separately and is tiny for this actor: a 1,000-home run used about $0.002 of compute and datacenter proxy in our tests.

Example: 1,000 Houston homes for sale ≈ $3.25, or ≈ $3.85 with full details.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to scrape HAR.com? The actor only reads public pages that anyone can open without an account. You are responsible for using the data in line with HAR.com's terms, MLS rules and privacy laws such as the CCPA.

Do I need a login or my own proxy? No. The datacenter proxy that is on by default works. If HAR.com starts refusing it, the run moves to US residential exits by itself.

How many results can I get? As many as HAR.com has. A single search on HAR.com stops at 10,000, so larger requests are split into price bands automatically. Set maxItems to 0 for no limit.

Which areas are covered? Everything HAR.com lists: Houston and its suburbs, and other Texas markets such as Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio. Type a city, county, area, neighbourhood or zip code.

Why is a field empty? HAR.com leaves some fields blank for some listings (HOA fee, lot size for condos, brokerage email). The actor never invents values. Sold prices are only in Sold and Leased modes.

Can I schedule it or use the API? Yes. Schedule runs in the console, or start them and read the dataset through the Scrapely API or SDKs.

⚠️ Limits

  • Texas only: HAR.com does not list other states.
  • Place names are matched with HAR.com's own location suggestions. A name used in several places (for example "Woodlands") may match a different area than you meant: use a zip code or paste a HAR.com search URL for an exact area. The log shows what each location matched.
  • Agent emails are not public on HAR.com (it shows a contact form), so agent rows have phone numbers but no email. Brokerage emails are in listing rows when HAR.com shows them.
  • School ratings, tax history tables and mortgage estimates on property pages are not extracted.
  • Street-address lookup of off-market homes is not supported; paste the property's HAR.com URL instead.
  • Sold and leased data covers at most the last 5 years, as on HAR.com.
